Ballet Girl
Medium: Digital screen-touch Designer, VCV RackYear of Creation: 2025
This work stages a dialogue between voice, sound, and image. The audience’s voices are captured and carried into VCV Rack, where their tones are bent and refracted. These shifting sounds return to the screen in TouchDesigner, where a ballerina’s body fractures into moving geometries—rhombuses that pulse like thoughts, opening multiple angles of reflection on the figure at the center. When the pitch deepens or rises, her image dissolves into black and white, speckled with noise, as if the dance itself were trembling between clarity and distortion.
